Delivering a Premium Entrance Solution Within a Fast-Track Store Opening Programme

As Gissah prepared to launch its first UK store on Oxford Street, the brand approached Excel Matting for consultation and specification advice to ensure the most appropriate entrance matting solution was selected for the prestigious location.
Working to a tight opening deadline presented several challenges. The chosen system needed to reflect the premium quality of the Gissah brand while providing effective dirt and moisture control from one of London's busiest shopping destinations. Installation also had to be carefully coordinated within an operational fit-out environment, ensuring all works were completed without disrupting the planned store opening schedule and honouring our environmental commitment to recycle the in situ system as it had reached end of life.
With performance, aesthetics and programme all demanding equal consideration, the solution needed to combine a luxury appearance, long term durability and rapid installation to meet the project timescales.

The Solution

Following consultation with the project team, the EXCO A system in Black Anodised finish with Alba ECONYL® inserts was selected to provide the right combination of appearance, performance and durability for the scheme.
The Low profile design for a sleek contemporary appearance perfectly suited to Gissah's luxury retail environment, while the premium Alba ECONYL® inserts delivered excellent dirt and moisture control at the point of entry. The system's high quality finish complemented the store's interior design while creating a welcoming and professional first impression for customers.
Equally important the selected solution enabled efficient installation within the project's demanding programme ensuring completion ahead of the planned store opening. The finished entrance now delivers the performance required for a busy flagship retail environment while reflecting the premium standards and brand identity synonymous with Gissah worldwide.
