The CHallenge

Ensuring High Performance ,Minimum Disruption and Compliant Access

Delivering a high performance entrance solution at a busy Tesco supermarket required meeting demanding operational and environmental needs. The system had to perform reliably in all UK weather conditions controlling moisture and debris to maintain safe, slip resistant access year round.
Installation had to be fast and efficient to minimise disruption and lost revenue while working with the existing matting area within a live retail environment. The solution also needed to ensure full DDA (Disability Discrimination Act ) compliant access for wheelchairs and trolleys.
Crucially, the finished result had to reflect Tesco’s brand standards combining a clean professional appearance with long term durability and performance.

The Solution

The SB+ matting system was selected to meet the demanding criteria of the scheme combining performance, practicality and visual appeal. Available from stock the system ensured immediate supply while its ability to be cut to size on site significantly reduced installation time compared to a made to measure alternative,minimising disruption and loss of revenue.
Designed with a wheel friendly surface SB+ delivers fully inclusive access for pedestrians wheelchairs and trolleys in line with DDA requirements. Its proven scrape and dry performance effectively combats the challenges of UK weather helping to maintain clean and safe entrances throughout the year.
The solid backed construction allows the system to be bonded directly to existing floor finishes offering flexibility for installations with or without a matwell.
